It's not a pseudonym, I really am Matt Tandy. I have three different WIP's at the moment, one being a doctrinal non-fiction, another being a humorous pop-fiction, and my primary being a an action-thriller that is half-way finished and so far has been well received. I studied Ancient Near East Studies with a Hebrew focus at BYU, but was transferred with work last year about nine credits from graduation. I hope someday to return and complete it, or at least switch to a general history major and complete it via correspondence. I have also been heavily involved in church history studies for over a decade. So yes, I do read Biblical Hebrew and can teach either exceptionally enlightening or mind-numbingly boring Sunday School lessons, depending on the situation and my amount of sleep. Aside from writing, I am a licensed Realtor and a Real Estate Agent in Utah and Texas. I live with my wife and 2-year old son in northern Houston, Texas and work for Northpoint Asset Management as a Regional Manager (I mainly handle private property management). I love writing. I love the Gospel. I don't usually combine the two in writing themes, but I am a strong proponent of writing according to the values that I hold dear and the LDS church encourages. Oh, and I like taking on ambitious projects...

Hi Matt... look at me, second on the board. Thanks for creating this space for us to gather and discuss. Looking forward to many enlightening discussions... meanwhile, I might go introduce myself.

Yeah man, thanks for creating this place. So you were a Student of the Ancient Near East? I went to the Symposium for that last April, twas a fun experience, even not understanding most of what was being discussed haha.

Matt, what a great idea!
You can find a way to finish your degree. I did, 20 years after I started....
I'm also in Texas, in the Midcities area.
Thanks for setting this up!

Hello Matt. Can't finish the degree with independent studies? Though I doubt you have the time with as busy as you obviously are.
This is a cool board. Thanks
